Introduction

My name is Jay, and I am a Full Stack Web Developer with a year of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing web applications and solutions. I am passionate about creating highly interactive web applications with responsive design that look good on every user’s device. As a student-leader and people-oriented worker, I excel in fostering collaborative environments and driving team success.

Professional Life

My journey into web development began during my sophomore year at Adamson University, when I took on my first professional web development project. Collaborating with SwiftNCloak, a talented UI/UX developer and a close friend of mine, I spearheaded the development of the website for ABC-RMO Security.

This project emphasized not only technical skills but also strategic planning. I led the procurement of a domain and hosting services to establish a professional online presence. Additionally, I migrated the company’s email system to a domain-specific platform, enhancing their professional image and communication efficiency. With a limited timeframe, I quickly mastered PHP and WordPress-specific APIs to ensure a seamless execution.

Following the success of this project, I was entrusted with designing and developing the website for the company’s sister organization, OMP Security. This role involved modernizing the website’s design, integrating a recruitment section for job applications, and further advancing my skills in WordPress and PHP.

Education and Skills Development

My introduction to programming began in my freshman year, learning C# under the mentorship of Sir Rico. During a summer break, I pursued the “100 Days of Code” Python course by Angela Yu, where I gained valuable insights into building Python servers with Flask. This experience deepened my passion for web development and interactive applications.

To expand my front-end capabilities, I completed a React course on Scrimba. This training enabled me to take on a part-time role as a Front-End Web Developer, where I worked alongside a team using Laravel and React to develop an Airbnb-style web platform.

These experiences solidified my technical foundation in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python, while also equipping me with a strong understanding of frameworks like React, Laravel, and Flask.
